Not only do farmers gain access to credible, science-backed action - but researchers love to see their work get picked up and put to use, instead of being lost in the pages of a scientific journal. Importantly, this work also allows for feedback and further research, thereby closing the loop.
What's Involved
Environmental research projects and long-term studies
In this work, we apply existing research, working with scientists and research organisations to test ideas and generate practical insight over time.
This creates opportunities to validate research, build understanding, monitor results and ensure findings are relevant to real farm systems.
Catchment research
As part of our work with catchment groups, Terra Centric acts as a conduit, introducing catchment groups to applied research opportunities, and helping to facilitate solutions to local issues such as water quality, biodiversity and sediment loss or erosion.
Pilot sustainability programmes
In this innovation space, Terra Centric trials new approaches to sustainability, often in partnership with industry groups, agencies or funding bodies. These programmes create space to test ideas, refine methods and explore what’s possible before scaling more broadly.
